someone called me out for blog neglect.
guilty as charged.
as for the piece linked - well, debt is debt, and foreign or not makes little difference. therefore, trade deficits (or surpluses) are largely immaterial, and the owners of treasury securities hailing from overseas is also immaterial. what IS material is the fact that we are spending and getting ourselves into serious debt here at home, regardless of who holds the notes. and it would appear that many who may wish to distract from their irresponsible behavior seek to deflect the criticism towards xenophobia.
